Meet The Team

Dr Gabrielle Ly 

BDSc (UWA)

Principal dentist and graduating from the University of Western Australia in Dentistry in 1987, Gabby has been working in private practice for over 25 years.

​

As well as managing a thriving clinic, in the year 2005, in conjunction with a prominent Perth now retired Oral Surgeon Dr David Booth, together they founded The Christian Health Aid Team (CHAT). The charity group is made up of a group of volunteers all over Australia providing much needed dental treatment to the orphans in rural Vietnam. The charity is heavily supported by all staff members of the clinic.

Gabby has special interests in rehabilitation of teeth that are heavily restored, implant therapy and root canal treatment. 

Dr Clare Chantler
BDSc (UWA), FRACDS (GDP), Grad Dip Clin Dent (Oral Implants) USYD

Clare studied Dentistry from the University of Western Australia and since graduating has enjoyed working Stirling Central Dental Clinic part time.  

Clare places a lot of emphasis on prevention rather than intervention as a basis of all dental treatment approaches. She will happily see patients of all ages and patients who are indeed anxious at the dentist. She is in the process of obtaining accreditation to be able to do dental work in a hospital environment so that patients are able to go to sleep and have all their work performed.

Clare has been active to stay up to date with new standards of care. In 2015, she completed the Primary Examinations with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS), in 2019, she completed the Final examinations with the RACDS and was awarded her Fellowship in General Dental Practice. She has most recently completed her Graduate Diploma in Oral Implants from the University of Sydney. 

​

Clare has volunteered her time with providing free dental treatment to patients with Tzu Chi Missions and Christian Health Aid Team over the years. 

 

Dr Bryan Huong
DMD (UWA), BMSc Hons (UWO)

 

Bryan earned a Bachelor of Medical Sciences at the University of Western Ontario (Canada) before going onto complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Western Australia. He was actively involved in research titled “Prevalence of Dental Staining in Young Competitive Swimmers” and was featured in PerthNow News, Dentistry Club UK, and Dental Jay Magazine.

​

Bryan believes in a holistic approach towards patient care and involves his patients in every aspect of their treatment. He has special interest in preventive, restorative, and prosthetic dentistry. Bryan is also fluent in Mandarin and works at Stirling Central Dental Clinic on a full-time basis.

​

In his time outside of dentistry, Bryan enjoys being outside in nature – fishing and hiking. He also is an avid reader and enjoys a good book.

Dr Jeremy Lau

DMD (UWA), BOptom (Melb)

Jeremy graduated from the Doctor of Dental Medicine program at the University of Western Australia.  He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is particularly interested in preventative dentistry, periodontics and orofacial pain. He also has an interest in research, and has a paper recently accepted for publication titled: "Paediatric dentists treating children on bisphosphonates:  A cross-sectional questionnaire-based study.”

Jeremy believes in a comprehensive and holistic approach in treating patients. He understands that it is common for people to feel anxious at the dentist, and always strives to make the visit as comfortable as possible. His special interest includes lesions of the mouth and temporo-mandibular joint disorders (TMD), leading him to commence specialist training in the field of Oral Medicine at the Univeristy of Western Australia, commencing in 2022. 

 

 He also values giving back to the community, having volunteered at Perth’s Homeless Connect. In his time outside of dentistry, he enjoys traveling and play various sports including basketball and golf.

Dr Bronwyn Smit
BDSc (UWA), PGDip Dig.Orth. (UK)

Bronwyn completed her dental degree in 2011 at UWA and has been working in private practice in Perth for the past 10 years. She is known for a being a kind and compassionate dentist with a relaxed manner.

​

Bronwyn enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. She has a special interest in orthodontics and recently completed her Graduate Diploma in Digital Orthodontics. Bronwyn is passionate about using clear aligners (Spark Clear Aligner System) to help create the smiles her patients have always dreamed of.

 

In her time outside of dentistry Bronwyn likes travelling and spending time with her family, friends and her two long haired dachshunds.

Ms Leanne Ta
BSc OHT (Curtin)

Leanne has been a long standing member of the team having previously worked as a dental nurse for 5 years before deciding to further her studies and complete the Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy degree from Curtin University. 

​

Leanne is passionate about preventative dentistry and works closely with the dentist to prevent and treat oral disease. Leanne enjoys working with patients and educating them on how to best maintain and improve their oral health. 

​

In Leannes spare time she likes to hike, spend time with her family and listen to horror stories
